Here are a few songs for the rest of the summer:
- “Ain’t Got Far To Go” by Jess Glynne
- “Runnin’ Down a Dream” by Tom Petty
- “Kiss” by Prince
- “Under The Bridge” by Red Hot Chili Peppers
- “Timebomb” by Beck
Here’s an album that you should listen through at least once this month:
- The Grand Illusion by Styx — This album was Styx’s breakthrough and has gone triple platinum. It’s packed with some of their greatest hits. The whole album is like a show of its own. The title track opens with fanfare and “The Grand Finale” provides an epic close. In between is a story of illusion, fantasy, and American life. You might be familiar with “Come Sail Away” and “Fooling Yourself,” but the whole album is worth hearing. Oh and for those interested, a certain South Park character does a beautiful cover of “Come Sail Away.”
I usually release a new suggestions list every other Tuesday, but it may be a while until my next one. Please continue to leave your suggestions in the comments. If I pick your song, artist, or album, I’ll give you credit for it up above when I return.
I honestly completely agree about The Grand Illusion. Styx is by far my favorite classic rock band. And I’m glad you included something we’ve heard of
Thank you for your feedback, dear Emily! Styx is one my favorites too. Glad you finally recognized something
